Several Claude Code accounts. One terminal.

Add each account once. Switch with ccam work or a shortcut such as ccwork. When one account hits its limit, carry on in the next with the same conversation.

Install on Linux or macOS

curl -fsSL https://ccam.dev/install.sh | sh

Then add your first account with ccam add.Read the quick start

Example session: when one account hits its limit, ccam continues the conversation on another

When an account hits its limit

  1. Start Claude Code as one of your accounts with its shortcut.

    ccside
  2. That account reaches its 5-hour limit, and Claude Code stops.

  3. See the 5-hour and weekly usage of every account at once.

    ccam usage
  4. Open the account with the most room and pick up the same conversation.

    ccam next --auto --continue

How it works

  1. ccam add work

Creates a separate config folder for the account, opens the Claude login in your browser and, if you want one, gives the account a shortcut you name yourself, such as ccwork.

  2. ccam workccwork --resume

Starts Claude Code as that account. Everything after the name goes to Claude Code unchanged, and ccam adds about 4 milliseconds before it starts.

  3. ccam share work --history on

Chooses what the account shares with your other accounts. MCP servers, settings, CLAUDE.md and extensions are shared from the start; logins never are.

  4. ccam usage

Shows the 5-hour and weekly usage of every account at once, so you know which one has room left.

  5. ccam next --continue

Opens the same conversation in the next account when the current one reaches its limit.

  6. ccam doctor --fix

Checks links, permissions and logins, and repairs what it safely can. Every change to your files keeps a backup.

In short

ccam is a free, open-source command-line tool that lets you use several Claude Code accounts on one computer and switch between them with one command.

Each account keeps its own login in a separate CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR, while MCP servers, settings, CLAUDE.md, extensions and conversation history can be shared between accounts, so you can continue a conversation on another account when one reaches its usage limit.

Install it on Linux or macOS with one command, then run ccam add for each account.
