Features
Every ccam feature in detail, with all its options: accounts, shortcuts, sharing, MCP servers, usage, switching, repairs and updates.
- Launching Claude Code: Start Claude Code as any account with ccam <name|number>, ccam run or the ccam picker; arguments go to claude unchanged, and --dry-run shows the command.
- Managing accounts: Add, log in, list, rename, remove and import Claude Code accounts with ccam add, ccam login, ccam list, ccam rename, ccam remove and ccam import.
- Shortcut commands: Give an account its own command such as ccwork with ccam shortcut, and recreate the links in ~/.local/bin with ccam shims install.
- Sharing between accounts: How ccam share links settings, CLAUDE.md, extensions and history into a group folder, with a plan, backups and conflict choices, and how off copies back.
- Shared MCP servers: Keep one list of MCP servers per group with ccam mcp add, add-json, list, remove and import, passed with --mcp-config or synced into each account.
- Copying an existing setup: Copy the settings, CLAUDE.md, extensions, MCP servers and MCP sign-ins of an existing ~/.claude into a ccam share group with ccam migrate.
- Usage limits: ccam usage shows the 5-hour and weekly limits of every account at once, and ccam statusline puts the account name and usage in Claude Code.
- Switching to the next account: ccam next opens Claude Code as the account after the one you used last; --auto picks the most room, --continue resumes, and --fallback reruns -p jobs.
- Checking and repairing: Check share links, file permissions, logins and the Claude Code version with ccam doctor, and repair what is safe to repair with ccam doctor --fix.
- Updating ccam: ccam update replaces ccam with the latest GitHub release after a SHA-256 check; --check only reports and --version installs a given release tag.
- Accounts by folder: ccam folder makes a folder and everything below it use one account when you start Claude Code without an account name, such as work for your company code.
- Picking an account for scripts: ccam pick prints the account with the most room for a script, gives workers started together different accounts, and exits 75 when none has room.
- API key accounts: ccam add --api adds an API key account for Anthropic's API or a gateway; the key is read at launch from a variable or a command, never stored.
- Inspecting extensions: ccam ext shows the skills, commands, plugins, MCP servers and hooks each account loads, where each comes from, and what is broken.
